Overview

Published in 2019, Digital Schoolhouse's Impact Report 2019, looks to understand the impact of the Digital Schoolhouse programme in the school year 2018 - 2019.

Specifically, it sets out how far the programme is having an impact on pupils, teachers and whole schools that are involved in the programme. It also looks to identify and recommend areas in which to improve the programme going forwards into the next school year.

This report sets out the findings that Digital Schoolhouse commissioned from EdComs, a consultancy specialising in children and young people, in 2019.

  • 96% of lead teachers feel that the programme met or exceeded their expectations.
  • 74% of teachers feel their school profile has been raised within the local community.
  • 70% of lead teachers believe being part of the Digital Schoolhouse programme has had a highly positive impact on their teaching style and pedagogy.
  • 99% of visiting school pupils feel more prepared for secondary school.
  • 98% of visiting school pupils surveyed reporting feeling more confident in computing.
  • Digital Schoolhouse are on track to reach 32,000 pupils in the 2018-2019 academic year.
